About
TweakOS is an operating-system project building toward a software platform that stands on its own: its own package ecosystem, desktop, applications, compatibility layers and, ultimately, its own kernel.
Today, TweakOS runs on a Debian x86-64 foundation with Btrfs and systemd. That foundation is the bootstrap, not the permanent definition. Linux-specific behaviour is kept behind platform backends, so TweakOS components can move onto TweakKernel without dragging Linux APIs along.
Rollback is a core part of the system, not an afterthought. Package changes and other significant system changes take a snapshot first, so they can be undone.
